About Akiko Ogawa
Akiko Ogawa was born in Osaka in 1973. After graduating from Kuwasawa Design School in 1995, she worked for a large apparel company as a designer before establishing her own brand "a primary AKIKO OGAWA" in 2001. In March of the same year, her first collection was shown at the infamous Work Shop in Paris. She presented her first collection in Tokyo in October 2001.
In September 2004, she contracted with a showroom in New York to present her collection. From the F/W 2005 season, Ogawa has been showing in both New York and Paris.
Ogawa is well known for adding masculine details to her otherwise predominately feminine dresses and suits. Her dress line is especially known for its luxurious elegance and spotlight in the high end party scene.
In 2016, AKIKO OGAWA. Lingerie was launched as a homage to fashion, femininity and sensuality. The AKIKO OGAWA. Lingerie collection explores the delicacy and intricacy of high grade Japanese lace and intimate artistry. Each piece has been carefully crafted for maximum comfort and visual excitement.
